Peter Macdonald

Managing Director

Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, Diploma of Training Design and Development, Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety, Diploma of Leadership and Management, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Peter has operated his own business for over 40 years, is the founder and Managing Director of Tubal Pty Ltd and has over 30 years’ experience in Training and Development, Work Health and Safety and Risk Management.  For the last 20 years Peter has been directly involved with the Retail, Hospitality and Holiday and Resorts Industries providing training and assessment, mentoring and consultancy services and has served on several industry working groups.  Tubal has been a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) since 1998.  Peter has received a Federal Government Best Practice Award and welcomed as a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC).  Other than his management functions, Peter’s other roles include training and assessment, employer/trainee liaison, business development, research and development and industry liaison.

Tim Macdonald

Training Manager

Bachelor in IT, Certificate IV Training and Assessment, Diploma of Hospitality Management

Tim is a coaching and training professional, with more than 10 years experience training in the VET, Hospitality, Business, IT and sporting industries. Tim’s role as Training Manager includes managing the day to day operations and activities of Tubal’s team of trainers/assessors, Business Development, client relations, Training and Assessment and IT research and development. Tim enjoys meeting with businesses owners, government, educational providers and individuals offering training solutions to service the needs and maximise the outcomes for all stakeholders. Tim is a former professional sportsman and has also completed a Bachelor of IT from ECU Perth. Tim has an extensive background in sports coaching, sports management, and has enjoyed roles in both the print and radio media.  Tim holds a Diploma in Hospitality Management, and has also trained, managed and worked in various roles within the Hospitality and Retail industries. 

Daniel Neville

Quality Manager

Bachelor of Technology in Applied and Analytical Chemistry, Diploma of Laboratory Technology, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Daniel has an extensive training and assessment background, with senior management experience within the industry as State Training Manager and RTO Manager.  Daniel is passionate about the training industry, where he started by providing training to personnel within a laboratory setting as a qualified Chemist before moving into RTO management. As Quality Manager at Tubal, Daniel’s principal role is to maintain compliance within all facets of the RTO, especially managing funding within the rules and guidelines of the Department of Training and Workforce Development.

Christel Magorian

Accounts and Customer Relations Manager

Diploma of Management

Christel has more than 20 years experience in the retail and hospitality industry, 10 of those years as a business owner operating her own retail store as well as a drafting and design business with her husband. Christel has extensive knowledge and experience in management and maintaining business accounts and is currently completing her Certificate IV in bookkeeping.

Christel joined Tubal in 2018 and her roles include administration, accounts and customer relations.

Isha Narula

Training Administration Coordinator

Masters in Computer Science , Certified associate in project management, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Isha has more than 10 years of experience in RTO administration, accounts and student support services.

Isha joined Tubal at the beginning of 2019 as the Training Administration Coordinator and her role includes administration, managing training contracts, enrolments, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and assist the Quality Manager and Trainers with all aspects of training and compliance.

Brett Warner

Workplace Trainer Assessor

Diploma of Training Design and Development, Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, MBA (HRM), AFAIM, Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety

Brett completed 25 years in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) having been involved in catering, logistics, operations and human resources.  His roles in the ADF included Resources and Operations Manager for the Special Air Service Regiment and Executive/General Manager of Human Resources, ADF.  Brett operated his own Management Consulting business and has also operated his own café franchise in partnership with his wife.  He has extensive experience in the Hospitality and Retail industries.  Brett joined Tubal in 2011 and his roles include workplace training and assessment and employer/trainee liaison.  Brett recently completed his MBA in Human Resource Management.

Brett is currently training in the areas of: Leadership & Management, Business, Hospitality, Work Health & Safety and Retail

Vicki Mayell

Workplace Trainer & Assessor

Diploma of Hospitality, Diploma of Events, Diploma of Management, Certificate IV in Business, Diploma of Project Management, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Vicki has extensive background and experience in the Hospitality Industry as General Manager, Manager, Proprietor and Assistant Manager of several hotels and resorts together with marketing roles and the provision of training, assessment and consultancy services.  Vicki is a Fellow and State Councillor of Catering Institute of Australia (WA) and a member of the industry advisory committees.  Vicki joined Tubal in 2011 and her roles include workplace training and assessment and employer/trainee liaison.

Vicki is currently training in the areas of: Hospitality, Retail, Events and Tourism Management

Gregg Bell

Workplace Assessor

Bachelor of Science – Marketing, TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Gregg has worked for over 25 years in management and marketing roles in the retail and entertainment industries in the USA.  With experience in all facets of business management and operation, Gregg has co-founded and held the position of General Manager of Los Angeles-based management/record companies with responsibility for all facets of day-to-day operation.  Gregg’s past experience extends to areas of human resource management, including training.  Gregg joined Tubal in 2012 and his roles include workplace training and assessment and employer/trainee liaison.

Gregg is currently training in the areas of: Hospitality and Retail Management

Damien Harvey

Training & Development Consultant

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate IV Frontline Management, Certificate IV Aged Care and Disability

Damien has over 10 years training and development experience working in both WA Government and private enterprises with a focus predominantly in the health and community service sector.

Damien’s extensive experience includes the development and training of nationally recognised care packages for internal staff at the Disability Services Commission to improve the quality of lives for people with disabilities. A secondment opportunity saw Damien implement training systems, processes and workforce development strategies at the Department of Environment and Conservation upon recommendation from the WA Coroner after the tragic death of 3 track drivers on crown land. More recently Damien was the General Manger of a large private Registered Training Organisation and recruitment company.

Damien is passionate about delivering high quality and dynamic training solutions that will ultimately make a difference within the Health and Community Service sector.

Damien is currently training in the areas of: Individual Support, Health Services Assistance, First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling


Michelle Cunningham

Workplace Trainer & Assessor

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma of Management, Diploma of Retail Management

Michelle joined Tubal in 2017, bringing with her 5 years experience in Retail and Business training.  Michelle has spent the majority of her career in the service industry gaining experience in customer service, supervisor and regional trainer roles.  She began her transition into management roles working with companies such as Adairs, Sheridan, Coles, Woolworths, and Best & Less with a focus on identifying potential leaders, staff training and development.

Michelle is currently training in the areas of: Leadership & Management, Business, and Retail Management
