SIT50216 Diploma of Holiday Park and Resort Management
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use a broad range of managerial skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to coordinate holiday park and resort operations which may include marketing and product development activities. They operate independently, have responsibility for others and make a range of operational business decisions.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a business manager or owner-operator of a holiday park or resort.
Entry Criteria
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who are able to demonstrate holiday parks and resorts industry knowledge, customer service and operational skills. The individual must:
EITHER
Be formally assessed through a training program or recognition process against one of the unit clusters below.
OR
Have relevant holiday parks and resorts industry experience. Work must involve the application of skills and knowledge described in one of the unit clusters below.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer(CT)
Tubal offers all participants the opportunity to have existing skills and knowledge recognised through Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer options. Participants may be eligible to receive RPL for units based on their work background, working in the community, volunteering and life experiences (such as hobbies, sport and recreation), or Credit Transfer based on their prior qualifications, where applicable.
Pathways
After achieving Diploma of Holiday Parks and Resort Management, individuals may engage in further learning in vocational or higher education through Advanced Diploma and Degree qualifications in Tourism, Hospitality and other Business disciplines.
Assessment
Tubal’s Assessors will determine a Trainees’ competency against:
- The Trainee’s self-assessment
- Previously evidenced workplace skills and knowledge
- The required knowledge and skills to perform tasks in their current workplace
- Employer/Manager confirmation that all tasks are being performed, which includes meeting all workplace requirements, and
- Validation through Tubal’s status as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
